Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Cromwell Community College, a ‘Good school’ as judged by OFSTED in March 2012. While we were all delighted with the judgement we see it as a stepping stone to being ‘Outstanding’. Achieving this goal will demonstrate that we have provided the very best learning experience and enhanced the options available to all of our learners as they prepare to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.
Cromwell is an 11-18 comprehensive school with 1100 students on site, serving the town of Chatteris and the villages of Benwick, Doddington, Manea and Wimblington.
We are ambitious for our students and their achievement is at the heart of everything we do as we strive to recognise, nurture and reward that achievement in all its many diverse forms. We are as proud of our cultural, social and sporting achievements as we are of our good and improving academic performance.
The successes we enjoy only happen because of the strong partnerships that have been established between parents, students and a highly committed, caring, professional school team. Maintaining and developing these relationships is the key to future success and therefore a goal for us all.
The College enjoys excellent facilities which are currently being enhanced as we are part of the last wave of schools feeling the benefit of the Building Schools for the Future programme. We have just taken possession of a magnificent new block housing ICT, Technology and PE. Phase 2 of the work will be completed by August 2013 transforming the site and leaving us with a learning environment for the community to enjoy and be proud of.
