Post 16
Working in partnership with Neal-Wade College we use the SMP AS/A2 course,
offering students in Year 12 the opportunity for an AS level, studying.
Core 1 and Core 2: Developing a greater understanding for Pure
Mathematics, enhancing their knowledge of Number, Algebra, Geometry and
Calculus.
Mechanics 1: Developing an understanding of the mathematics involved with
kinematics, Forces, Momentum, Projectiles, and Newton´s Law of Motion.
In Year 13 students look at;
Core 3 and Core 4: A further development of their knowledge of pure
mathematics developing areas to a higher level.
Statistics 1: To develop the knowledge of statistics and how it can be
used.
