Cromwell Careers Information Advice and Guidance regarding education after 16 and again after 18 is delivered in a variety of ways.
It is central to the work of every Form-Tutor, and forms part of the pastoral work which links every Tutor to their respective tutees
from all Year groups. Aspects of delivery are also developed through collapsed days and also through extended assemblies.
The Department is responsible for all Post 16 applications. This liaison work can also extend to other establishments outside of the
Cambridgeshire area. Destination information of ex-pupils is tracked throughout the FE phase and onto HE and beyond internally and by
Connexions services.
The Department also oversees the Year 10 Work Experience programme, matching pupils to placements, ensuring that health and safety
procedures are followed, and in the visiting of Tutors to placements.
Working closely with the Connexions Service, all pupils are entitled to impartial individual guidance interviews, as well as maintaining
and continually developing a fully resource Connexions library and information access point.
On line facilities have been invested in heavily in recent years, and are available for all pupils and staff to access at any time.
These include Pupil self assessment programmes, careers information databases, and access to other websites attaining to all aspects of
transition through Secondary Education.
