With more than five million employees, the public sector is the UK’s largest employer. It includes the armed forces, the emergency services,
educational establishments and a host of public corporations. Covering so many different areas, this sector demands a broad range of skills and
qualifications. This course is designed to provide a broad introduction to working in the sector and offers opportunities for accessing further study,
such as a BTEC National qualification or an appropriate NVQ. This course is the equivalent of up to four GCSEs at Grades A*-C. If you do not complete
sufficient units you can achieve an Extended Certificate (equivalent to 2 GCSEs) or a Certificate (equivalent to 1 GCSE).

- BTec Level 3 Diploma (equivalent to 2 A-Levels).
The full course comprises 7 units, 6 of which are worth 10 credits and 2 of which are worth 5 credits. Pupils must accumulate 15 credits for the Certificate, 30 credits for the Extended Certificate and 60 credits for the Diploma.
