🌟 Our Primary Phase has been awarded PLATINUM Accreditation - the highest level possible - within the Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) scheme for putting play “at the heart of its culture”! 🌟 This accreditation puts Cromwell within the top 1% of schools nationally for the quality of our play provision. To celebrate this fantastic achievement, parents and carers were invited to an OPAL Celebration Afternoon on Friday, where they had the opportunity to see the magic of our outdoor play provision for themselves. A huge THANK YOU goes to our OPAL Lead, Mrs Boyden, for her relentless drive and commitment. Also to the families, staff, local businesses and friends of Cromwell who have supported the scheme with donations and volunteered their time to create amazing spaces that our children love! Football fans will be happy to see the new titles in the 'Ultimate Football Heroes' series. Looking for adventure? Try one of our new arrivals, 'Land of the Last Wildcat' or 'Foxlight'. Remember, you can borrow library books during early and late lunch times, keep your books for 2 weeks, then return or renew them. Call in and see what’s going on! 📚

On Friday, Year 7 welcomed back Cambridgeshire Fire Service Officer Joe, but this time to deliver an impactful assembly on water safety. The pupils covered the dangers of open water, how to stay safe near water, what to do in an emergency and how to help others without putting themselves at risk. The assembly was interactive, engaging and incredibly important as we head into the warmer months. A huge thank you to Joe from the Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service for helping keep our pupils safe.

Year 8 took part in an Athletics fixture at Thomas Clarkson yesterday and put in a fantastic effort throughout! Every student gave it their all and it really showed in their performances. Year 10 pupil, Unashe, also had the opportunity to try out a range of different events in the Year 10 Athletics. He showed great enthusiasm and effort throughout, embracing every activity with a positive attitude and a willingness to challenge himself. Everyone who attended should be very proud of the effort, attitude, and determination they displayed. Well, done to everyone involved!

Congratulations to James, Arla, Blake and Noah who came a very respectable 3rd place in the Cambridgeshire Year 5 Maths Challenge yesterday, completing some incredibly tough rounds of questions! 🌟 They were an absolute credit to Cromwell, working fantastically as a team, encouraging each other every step of the way and smiling throughout! Mrs Padelek is waiting to hear if they have made it through to the grand final!🌟

Vaisakhi is a Harvest Festival celebrated by Sikhs around the world symbolising a time to give thanks for the harvest we reap and pray for future prosperity. It also marks the birth of the Khalsa – the identity and dedication of Sikhs. In BRIDGE students have been working hard learning about Vaisakhi and produced fact files, made decorations, and displayed their work to commemorate the day ⬇

📣To all Year 11's! The POWER-UP Mornings in the Auditorium will continue to take place every school day morning 8:00am - 8:40am up until Friday 1 May, to prepare for your exams! Sessions will focus on English, Maths, Science, History & Geography offering practical tips, strategies and revision support from expert teaching staff. A light breakfast is also included! Congratulations to Maddie who received an Apple iPad from Mr Stevenson today as the winner of the Spring term Attendance Raffle! For every week that pupils attend 100% throughout the term they earn a raffle ticket and for every 5 weeks where they achieve 95% attendance or more they earn a bonus 5 tickets! The Year 9 girls Football Leaders have received their hoodies and whistles ahead of hosting a football session for the primary pupils next term. They have met half termly and have got great plans of what this is going to look like! This afternoon they have undergone an Introduction to Refereeing course. All the girls showed great enthusiasm and have started their refereeing journeys brilliantly. We can't wait to see what they do next! Well done girls! ⚽️
