This week we have had a busy week. We have taken part in a science experiment to find out if children with longer legs can jump the furthest. We went over to the long jump area in secondary and took part in their experiment which was really fun.

In maths we have been working on our numbers of bonds to 10 and 20. We have also worked on bridging 10 and 20 to help us with our addition.

All children have taken part in their reading session this week and worked hard in their fluency groups.

We ended the week with our PE session where we combined our balancing, jumping and landing.

The children have settled in well to year 3. They have come in happy and ready to learn.
We have had a very busy start to the year. The children have visited the computer suite in secondary which we will visit every week to complete our computing lesson.
The children have taken part in their first French lesson which was very exciting. They have been learning to count to 10.
They have also taken part in their first PE session and have been working on their jumping and landing skills. We are now trying to beat our personal best to see how far we can jump.
The children have enjoyed their art session where we have looked at the Artist Laura Mckendry.
Here are a few pictures of them taking part in using charcoal. We also used paint brushes to make the charcoal bleed and smudge easier.
