Year 5

The children have made a fantastic start to Year 5 and have settled into their new routines exceptionally well. They have been working hard in all lessons, showing great enthusiasm, resilience and a positive attitude to learning.

In Science, we have been exploring Forces and investigating how different forces affect movement. The children have enjoyed taking their learning outdoors during Forest School sessions, where they carried out practical experiments and applied their scientific enquiry skills in a real-world environment.

As part of our Skills Builder Day, the children became detectives and took part in a crime scene investigation to solve The Case of the Missing Chocolate. After carefully examining the evidence, questioning suspects and piecing together clues, they were delighted to catch Red Riding Hood red-handed! Thankfully, the mystery was solved, and the children demonstrated fantastic teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills throughout their investigation.

We are incredibly proud of how well the children have started the year and look forward to all the exciting learning still to come!
